Cruising Paradise

Cruise ship

The most relaxing experience I have ever had was when my husband and I took a cruise. The destinations actually weren’t as impressive as I expected but just being on the cruise ship and waited on was an experience I would gladly repeat! I loved the fine dining and being able to select just about any food I wanted at any time of day. There was always something to do and if I didn’t want to do anything at all, I could just relax in my room or by the pool. It was the most enjoyable trip I have ever taken.

Book Worm

Books are my passion. I love to read a good page turner. I have spent many sleepless nights reading a book that I just couldn’t put down. Historical fiction is my favorite but I also have a special love for children’s books. I have a collection of children’s books with a wide range of reading levels. I used them in my classroom when I was a teacher and I am so excited to share them with my own children! Being a busy mother, I have not read much since my daughter was born but once she gets to a more independent age I hope to hit the books once again!

Pigs in Blankets

If you’ve never had a “pig in a blanket” you are missing out! This simple meal consists of a hot dog wrapped in a biscuit or crescent roll. It is super easy and really cheap to make. Serve it with Macaroni and Cheese or tater tots and you have a meal! Last night I was so tired that I was glad I had planned to make Pigs in Blankets for dinner. My husband actually loves them and after we were married I made some for him and he started requesting them! Now I can also make this for my daughter like my mom made for me when I was a child.

Puppies at My Home

Recently one of the street dogs gave birth to three cute puppies at my home lawn. One was white with black spots, the other two where brown with white shades. The one in dark brown was so active and it started roaming through out the garden in very few days, where as the other two were still sitting behind its mother, we use to feed their mother daily twice. I named the three as ed, edd and eddy. After few days, I started playing with the puppies. It relaxed my mind much, daily after college I use to play with those puppies for at least an hour. After the puppies started growing, its mother left them abandoned, and I was taking care of them. Once in a competition named Halloween costumes for large dogs, I took my favorite dark brown puppy dressed in a funny Halloween costume. I was enjoying there, though it didn’t win any prizes I was happy seeing it enjoying. I also ask everyone to adopt such abandoned animals and show care on them. Such kind nature of us only can prove that we are humans. Halloween costume, a trick or a treat for my dog? I was surprised when my friend, Sheri, called to tell me that she’d bought a Halloween costume for her Corgi, Buffy. I knew there were Halloween costumes for dogs, but my little guy, Baxter, is way too boisterous for me to put anything on him other than a collar. He’s a typical Beagle, I suppose. Buffy is pretty playful, too, so I wasn’t sure how well she’d tolerate a costume. Well, Sheri emailed me a picture and Buffy looks so cute! She’s dressed up as a ladybug, wearing what looks like a red sweater with big black dots. She even has on a pair of antennas. Sheri said she tolerated it pretty well. I guess they make these costumes comfortable for dogs. I’d love to dress up Bax as a vampire; Or as Darth Vader. That would be hilarious! I’m thinking I’ll go online and look at some costume web sites.
