I had spent five years and a great deal of my parents money at the university trying to get a Degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology. There were two slight obstacles to my progress: failed courses and temporarily being out of school. So, I changed from that to a Biochemistry Degree. Eventually, I still needed 12 courses to complete my degree and not enough time because my parents were hounding me and refused to send any more money. Walking the tight rope, I changed to a general chemistry degree that had less courses and barely completed it while at the same time spruced up grades and scanned the same degree but with biochemistry on it to send to my parents. They have bought it so far!!!!

What the Dickens!!!!

I am a reader and enjoy hours reading up on almost any topic. It was my father who inculcated this habit in me and started me off on this road with Oliver Twist. Then followed Bleak House, David Copperfield, Nicolas Nickelby etc. When puberty hit, I got started on the racier stuff most prominently Sidney Sheldon. My reading has become more selective over the years and I am more interested in non-fiction primarily of the biographical or autobiographical nature. I wish that there was a way in which I could absorb a book in a matter of seconds. I would seriously consider spending my savings on such a device.

If I didn’t have to work again

If I never had to work again, there are so many things I would do! I would learn to play as many instruments as possible, and I would start composing and playing my own music. I would travel extensively and see all the places in the world I want to visit. I would practice photography (especially when I was traveling), getting a good eye and taking amazing picture for my own amusement. I would read all the novels on my list to read, and would take a crack at writing my own novel. I would learn all the things I could. I would take endless classes on everything from first aid, to psychology and anatomy, to painting classes. I would make the most of my free time to further my intellectual and skills.
