Recession-Proof?

As much as I don’t like to portray myself as a victim, I feel as though I am a casualty of the recession.  By all rights this should be an exciting time of my life.  I just graduated from on of the best universities in the United States.  I’m twenty-three years old.  By all rights, the world should be my oyster.  Yet, like so many other Americans, I cannot find a job.  Because of what’s happened to our economy, I am forced to compete for entry level positions with veterans twice my age.  I don’t begrudge them the work, as I’m sure they need it more, having mortgages and children and such.  But where does that leave me? Living with my parents?  They’re having a hard time too.  I know that things will get better, I just hope that it’s soon.

Walked in the Rain

How is my day going?  Well, when I really think about it, my day mirrors the weather today; it’s been dark, wet, and gloomy.  I should say now that I am usually a person who enjoys the rain.  Be it a drizzle or a down pour, I am of the disposition to step out into it and have some fun.  That’s what I tried to do today.  I figured it couldn’t hurt.  I was a little bit depressed, as I have been for quite some time, and we’ve all read something here or there about exercising elevating mood, so I tried to utilize a little free, common sense medicine.  Yeah, tried that, and it just didn’t work.  Fortunately, there’s still all evening left, and I should be able do something enjoyable to turn this day around and get myself out of this rut.

My Lazy Housecat

I have two cats, one of them is very fat and the other one is thin.  The reason for these differing weights is because the fat cat steals all the food from the thin one.  The fat cat never does anything other than lay around all day.  The only exercise this obese feline gets it walking from the couch to the food bowl.  I have tried regulating his food but I have to put down enough food for two cats.  The large cat eats it all so quick that the smaller one does not have a chance.  The poor skinny cat has to fight to get enough food to live.  I feed the skinny cat snacks while the big cat sleeps.  I have to do it quick because the plump cat wakes up and will come begging.

Your pet dog safe with seat belt

Some times the dog may roam around the car and may distract or jump in the driver’s lab and it may cause some accident. So it is good to have a large dog seat belt, it is safe for both the owners and for the dog When purchasing the dog seat belt for your dog you have to check whether the dog can be able to sit or lay down while wearing the seat belt. The dog seat belt helps by holding the dog in one place with a strap which is attached with the dog seat’s belt system. When buying the dog belt for your pet dog you have to check the size of the belt. It should match and fir for your dog. Some small dogs can have the problems in their throats and breathing. The dog belt should not give any pressure on the chest of your pet dog. To save money do not look for the cheap quality.

My Town of Albuquerque, New Mexico

I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  It is a wonderful place to live and is truly the heart of the Southwest.  I love living here and would not want to live anywhere else.  The weather is wonderful as it rarely gets too hot or too cold.  I have lived here most of my life with brief stays in California and Texas.  I live on the 4th floor of a four-floor apartment.  It is nice and quiet in my apartment complex.  I enjoy living here but I will be moving into a house soon.  I cannot wait to move into my new house with its huge yard.

Today Was a Pajama Day

Today was a pajama day… all day!  I never got out of my PJ’s.  This is a fun thing to do once in awhile.  I did not sleep very well last night, so I just sat around all day in my nightclothes.  My pajamas were just plain grey pajamas, nothing special.  I had little grey booties with green hearts on them to match my nightgown.  I did not wear any jewelry or anything in my hair.  My only accessory was my brown-checkered glasses.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a more fashionable day for me.  You cannot beat the comfort of today’s outfit though.

Puppy Supplements

Puppy supplements our son got a cute puppy, a Golden Retriever, for his fifth birthday. He is just five, but his uncle gave him the puppy, and our whole family is so happy with our new puppy whom we named Fever. The vet suggested we give him food supplements and wrote out a prescription. We are happy because the good dog supplements he prescribed not only keep our puppy healthy and energetic all day, but also enhance the skin and give his coat a healthy glow. Fever is a happy puppy and though our son is too young to take care of him, we make sure Fever is never neglected; he is the center of happiness in our home and has made friends with every guest he encounters.

One Thing that I Want

If I could have one thing in the world it would be to have my health.  Without your health you have nothing.  My health has suffered some in the recent years and I hope to get it back.  I was always healthy and I never appreciated how much health meant.  If you feel bad the whole world seems less enjoyable.  If I could have only one thing in the world my health is what I would choose.  I would not want money or anything else in the world that money can by.  I would just want my health and nothing else.

The One Thing that Means the Most

My little daughter is the most important thing in my life!  She is not even two years old yet but she has such a wonderful personality.  I enjoy spending time with her and to have her in my life is absolutely a gift.  I love her more than anything in the world.  I would protect her with my life.  I want to give her the best future possible and make sure she grows up happy and strong.  I do not work outside of the house and I spend my days nurturing her and watching her grow.  We are very close even though she is so young.

My Favorite Childhood Memory

Alice in Wonderland sculpture by Jose de Creef...

Like many youngsters, my favorite childhood memory is a trip to Disneyland.  I still love Disneyland to this day because of my recollections from childhood.  It truly is a magical kingdom.  I remember driving into the parking lot and seeing the sign.  I knew then it was going to be a great day.  Once I entered the gates, I could smell candies and all sorts of wonderful concoctions.  I immediately began searching for that famous mouse.  I did not find him but I found Alice in Wonderland.  She was as cute as a button.  I took a picture with her and went off to ride the teacups!  It is a memory that I will cherish until the day I die.
