The Recession

I think we can all agree that the recession is making out lives harder, and its something we simply need to weather. But to constantly appeal to that fact is probably the most annoying part about it. These appeals take form in the extremely trite phrase “In today’s economy” or “times are tough”,then usually continuing on their way to try and sell you something.  When I hear these I am reminded how far from ideal conditions are. And when I say ‘Ideal conditions’, I do not mean economic conditions, but rather creative and rhetorical conditions. Americans love to utilize this appeal and it is by far the most rage inducing phrase I am aware of. That is probably the worst part about the recession.

Have you ever heard about a website called Tinierme?

It’s a very fun website that connects people all around the world together. I found this website from an advertisement in February I think. But ever since I joined and started playing I have been addicted! It’s like a virtual world, and you have your very own character. With your character, you can decide how it looks and dresses. You decide absolutely everything down to it’s skin color and name. You have money on the site as well that you can earn, it’s virtual of course and it’s called CC. In other words Chibi-Coins. But that’s not the only type of money there is, you can also BUY money on the website called G-coins. These types of coins can allow you to buy new clothes and facial features or even play these gumball like machines called gacha! When you play gacha you get a random clothing item everytime. But there’s different types of gachas, and these gachas at one point will EXPIRE and you can’t play it anymore! But even if you don’t get what you want, or get multiple of the same item you can trade with other players on the site for different cool stuff! Other things you can do on the site is make your own Diary entries, decorate your room, join groups and make threads, make new online friends, get a CHIBI PET ( It’s your very own pet that grows up as you take care of it!) And much much more! It is a very fun addicting website. But everytime I go into Selfy town which is where alot of the players hang out on you can ALWAYS ALWAYS find someone new from around the world to chat with! Who knows what will happen on that fun site, but it’s a great way to make new friends and to entertain yourself! It surely entertains me!

Since the day i was born i have lived in Brockton Massachusetts

But I haven’t lived in one place all of my life. Up until the age I was eight, I had always lived in a two bedroom apartment with my three sister, my mother, and my father. Talk about uncomfortable. But we moved into a house I’ve been living in for the past six years now. My current house has three bedrooms, a bathroom, Living room, Kitchen/dining room, a Basement, a laundry room, and an office. It’s not a very big house but i love it in every way possible. My room walls because of my little sister are currently pink, my rug is baby blue. I have a bunkbed in there just in case anyone wants to sleep in my room with me and a big white dresser with a matching nightstand. Other than that all my room has is a book shelf thing, pictures, and a window. This is what most of the bedrooms in my house have except i’m the only one with a bunkbed. In my parent’s room though, they’res a computer, the basement has one too. Down In the basement we also have a couch, plasma screen t.v., A table, book shelves, a door to the backyard, and much more. If I could I’d write a whole essay on my house that I live in because I could write so much detail about it. But going back upstairs in my living room I have two couches, a chair, a plasma screen T.v., a fireplace, lamps and tables….That’s about it! The bathroom is like any other bathroom, along with my kitchen that’s like any other kitchen. Except that it’s fairly small. The entire house was decorated, and redone by my very own father. He changed everything from the outside to the house to the inside. Even rebuilt most of it! Although my house may be not that big I love it no matter what. Because my house is well, my house!

My day

Two adolescent couples at the 2009 Western Ida...

My day Is going dandy. Fine and dandy.  I woke up and ate the rest of the pizza left in my fridge. After that was done I decided to get down to my summer reading assignment on The Diary of Anne Frank. Its not that I have a problem with the idea of tolerance of other people, it’s the fact that the idea of tolerance is the only idea that my school proffers in the assigned literature. Its sad really. When we take a long hard look at the social makeup of teenagers in America, we see that American youth is quickly becoming the most diverse demographic. I honestly don’t think American youth have a problem with tolerance but rather the higher levels of academic authority. In my mind this implies that American youth have rampant problems with tolerance. But nothing could be farther from the truth.  (this mini rant came to my head while doing my homework)
