I would choose to live on beautiful Cape Cod

I lived there once in my life before in a small and humble home a few miles from the beach and loved the tranquility of the beautiful shoreline.  If money wasn’t an option, I would choose a beautiful home at the top of a dune overlooking the Atlatnic Ocean.  Watching the waves roll in each morning and evening from my porch would be amazing.  The buzz of tourists in the summertime enjoying the sun and sand, eating some of the most delicious seafood in the world and taking a walk on the beach at night are all incredibly appealing. In the fall, when the tourists have gone, the fresh salty air remains and provides for a beautiful bike ride along the coast.  In the winter, sitting in my home by the fireplace watching the snow fall onto the quiet sand would be so peaceful.

As cliché as it may sound

As cliché as it may sound, I would love to be a superhero with the ability to fly.  Not just any sort of flight, but flight at the speed of light!  Imagine, being able to travel from coast to coast in mere seconds, seeing the entire world from a bird’s eye view and having the chance to be anywhere on this beautiful earth any time I wanted.  I would never be late for work or appointments again.  I would have the ability to visit family any time I wanted, and maybe even the occasioanal scoop up and rescue people from shipwrecks, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes and plane crashes.

The best gift I’ve ever received would have to be my engagement ring

At the time, my boyfriend planned a special day for us full of fun at the beach and a beautiful dinner.  I was suspicious throughout the day that he was getting ready to “pop the question”.  When it didn’t happen by the time we were pulling into my driveway at the end of the night, I found myself somewhat disappointed but still grateful for the lovely day.  When I got into the house and headed to the bathroom, he had set candles out and floating in the middle of the tub on top of a toy sailboat was a little blue box.  I turned to him and immediately started crying.  He asked “Don’t you want to open it first?”  6 months later and buried in crazy wedding planning, I will cherish the memory of that day forever.

Dogs and Kids

When you’re starting out and figuring out what your ideal family unit will be, there’s the question of whether you should have a pet first before you endeavor to raise a baby.  There are at least two schools of thought on this.  The first says that if you can prove that you’re responsible and capable of taking care of a pet, then you’ve demonstrated that you will be ready to take on the greater responsibility of raising a child.  However, others believe that if you have a pet, you are less likely to have a child as so much of your time and energy has already been spent on the pet.  Another concern is that the pet may not react well to having a baby in the house and may attack it.
