So That Comet, Apophis, Is Going To Hit Earth After All, Now What?

Not Afraid

With a last minute warning telling you this is it, make your peace and do it quick, preferably within the last hour you’ve got, what can a person actually do with that time? I’d like to think I’d do something amazing, my final send-off. Complete a phenomenal feat, do that one that thing I was always afraid of trying.  The truth is though, I’d do everything I could to be with my friends and family that are dear to my heart, to hold their hands and try to smile and laugh with them one last time before we were gone.

Finding Your Place In The Chaos

Every day I try to do right by the universe and remember that I am a very small bit that can make a big difference.  To me that means expecting very little, for I am very little, and giving all that I can to promote actions that take the rest of our world into account.  Little things like not littering, and remembering to recycle are one avenue to respecting my environment.  For myself, not eating the flesh of other animals is my way to feel in harmony with the world.  I want to earn my place here on my terms, the more thought I give to that notion, the more my life aligns with my goals.

If I Were Queen

Ponte Vecchio during the height of the Summer ...

Getting the chance to make a difference in your community is huge thing.  I can’t say any one particular job has the biggest impact; they all have very important roles.  Given the chance though, I’d want to be president of our local citizens’ council.  Influencing the decisions in regards to land in our town would be very important to me.  We have scores of wildlife surrounding our tiny town and they’re getting pushed out more each tourist season.  Protecting the land they currently inhabit for the good of our own environment and the quality of our community is something I’d treasure being able to do.
