When I think of heaven

Look at Earth from the Heaven

Image via Wikipedia

When I think of heaven, I think of fluffy clouds and a chorus of angels.  Everyone is happy and enjoying the best moments they enjoyed on earth.  There are no worries and everyone loves one another.  There is no sin, there is only leisure and fun.  I believe that we will be united with family and friends that are also in heaven and you experience endless joy with them.  I believe that time in heaven is not like time on earth as time in heaven is infinitely longer, but I do not think it feels longer.  I believe heaven is this way because of observations made throughout life from reading the bible and sermons.

Seriously, My Turn to Talk!

I would tell them to stop making most conversations about them.  This is a habit of theirs I’ve noticed.  I may try to say something, point something out, or just have an interesting chat, but the conversation will inevitably be directed back to them and how they exclusively feel.  What perturbs me most about this is that shows they are not listening at all, except for the moment when they can interject something about themselves.  They are not listening, they are waiting to talk.  Perhaps they are simply excited to have someone to listen for a change – many people do the “waiting” instead of listening – but it is still irksome.

Keeping Dog Bowls Clean

Keeping dog bowls clean is an important way to keep your dog healthy and show him that you care. Learn how to treat your best friend the way he deserves. A sanitary dog bowl will help protect your dog from contaminants that could upset his stomach or cause serious medical conditions. This will also help to reduce your vet bills. Some dogs may even refuse to eat if their bowl smells bad. Most dog dishes can be washed with normal dishwashing detergent. Rinse well to get the entire residue off. If you love your dog, take care of his steel dog bowls.

Peer-Pressure: Neuroses Only Grow

Morning Calm Weekly Newspaper - Korea Region -...

While it’s difficult to choose exact instances of succumbing to peer-pressure, we all do it and so often for very little things, I can think of a couple times that I did which I truly regret.  The first instance was probably in those hazy years of elementary school, somewhere between first and second grade.  I was a shy, bookish, and even then, somewhat neurotic kid.  In a place where my peers, age-wise at least, were burgeoning small town athletes and outdoorsman, this made me a large, roaming target.  But I wasn’t the worst kid on the block.  There were a couple other kids who didn’t look as nice as I did, were actually worse at sports, and didn’t perform well at, shall we say, academics.  I wasn’t violent, but I did fall in with the other kids, the “cool” kids in making fun of these other kids.  They didn’t deserve it, especially from me, another victim of warrantless taunting, but I caved in.
